In partnership with The Kansas Small Business Development Center at Fort Hays State University Russell County Eco Devo can help new entrepreneurs realize their dream of ownership and assists existing businesses in their efforts to remain competitive. SBDC services enable Kansas entrepreneurs to make better, more informed business decisions, to avoid costly mistakes, and to prepare thorough and complete business plans needed both to obtain financing and to effectively manage their operation. Services are confidential and free of charge.

Financing Assistance -
New and existing businesses in Russell County have several options to consider for financing. Re-financing for existing businesses is also an available.
Russell County Eco Devo Loan:
Up to $15,000 available per loan at 4% interest over 5 years. Business plan, projected financials, 2 years tax returns and collateral required.
Russell County E-Community Loan:
RCED is privileged to be a partner with Network Kansas and designated as an E-community. The e-community loan is intended as gap financing to help entrepreneurs start or grow a business in Russell County. The loan program matches the RCED loan or Russell Main Street Loan of capital and bank loans, and can provide up to $45,000 per project. Funds are flexible and can be used for a variety of business purposes, including startup costs, purchasing an existing business, business expansion, working capital, inventory, and more. *Same requirements and terms as listed for RCED loan.

This grant is meant to enhance promotion of businesses and physical design of businesses in Russell County. Eight grants are given out each year through a competitive application process. The program provides $2,000 towards a minimum investment of $4,000 by the business owner.
