St. John Lutheran Church 2024 Back-to-School Giveaway

Thanks to generous donors and community support, St. John Lutheran Church is hosting the 2024 Back-to-School Giveaway on Thursday, August 1 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday, August 2 from noon to 3:00 pm. All Russell area students (pre-K through high school) are welcome to attend either or both days, but all students attending on Thursday must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

St. John Lutheran Church is located at 425 N. Main, and those attending are asked to enter the south Main Street door, then head downstairs.

On Thursday, students may choose up to 10 items of gently used clothing at no cost. In addition, select items are available on Thursday including one coat and one pair of shoes per student. On Friday, both students and the community are invited to choose from the remaining items with no limitations.

Students will receive one package each of new socks and undergarments while supplies last. A limited number of new school supplies will be available for 7th through 12th grade students.

A variety of personal care items, including toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, combs and brushes will be available to each student. On Thursday, each student may select up to five personal care items. If any items remain after Thursday, they will be available on Friday while supplies last.
