About the Event

Russell County Economic Development & CVB in partnership with Dane G. Hanson & Russell Specialty Books and Gifts invite you to the Community Book Club, featuring “13 Ways to Kill Your Community” by Doug Griffiths, MBA.

The Community Book Club is a 5 week program that will be held at Espresso Etc. every Monday starting on March 14th- April 11th in Russell over the lunch hour from 12:00 to 12:45. Lunch will be available to order during the book club meetings. The goal of this program is to address community issues by using the book 13 Ways to Kill Your Community to jump start conversations regarding change and progress within our community. The first meeting will focus on the introduction of the book and the structure of the book club, trying to make the club work for the participants. The first meeting will also be focused on the first two chapters.

Interested? Register via phone by calling the Russell County Economic Development & CVB Office at (785)-483-4000 or by emailing receptionist@russellks.net.  13 Ways to Kill Your Community can be purchased at the discounted price of $18.99 at Russell Specialty Books & Gifts.

“Some communities thrive and grow while others die offering no hope for future generations. 13 Ways to Kill Your Community provides the tools to choose either option for your community. If you only read one book on rural economic development, this is the one! Even the most successful communities can improve and change for the better".  John Ponikvar, Craig, Colorado
