Russell County Youth Pheasant Hunt

Saturday, Nov. 4th & 5th 8:00am to 10:00am, both days. This hunt will be limited to 8 hunters on Saturday and 8 on Sunday.  Hunt is FREE to all participants. Hunters need to be between the ages of 11 and 16, and have completed hunter education prior to the hunt date. If the young hunter does not have hunter education, an adult will need to accompany them in the field for the duration of the hunt. Hunt will take place at Wheatbelt Gun Club 18942 Stickney Rd, Russell. Hunters need to bring their own firearm, ammunition, and orange hat and vest. A liabliilty release form will be needed to be signed by the participant and parent/guardian prior to taking to the field. Partici[ants will hunt pheasants over trained gun dogs with experienced handlers. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
